Just over the Causeway from the mainland, Sanibel Arms West’s six-acre retreat rests on the idyllic east end of Sanibel Island. Tucked between the shell-lined sands of the Gulf and the vibrant Periwinkle District, our guests can take a short drive or bike ride to sample delicious island cuisine, enjoy shopping, and visit historic attractions like the famous Sanibel Lighthouse.

Do you have a minimum stay?
What is your deposit policy?
To guarantee your reservation, a 35% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is due upon arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?
- If a guest cancels their reservation 30 days or more before arrival, they receive a refund of their deposit minus a $100.00 cancellation fee.
- If a guest cancels their reservation less than 30 days before arrival, they will forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If a guest cancels their reservation 60 days or more before arrival, they receive a refund of their deposit minus a $100.00 cancellation fee.
- If a guest cancels their reservation less than 60 days before arrival, they forfeit 100% of the deposit.
Can I check in early or check out late?
What is the maximum occupancy?
Maximum occupancy is 4 to 6 individuals per unit, which is strictly enforced per Sanibel Fire Code.
What are your payment policies?

What is your smoking policy?
Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited in all units, including lanais and public common areas. A designated smoking area is identified on the campus map. Violating the smoking policy will result in a $250 fine.
Is housekeeping included?
A cleaning fee of $225 will be added to all reservations and applied at checkout. No daily housekeeping service is available. Unit touch-ups may be scheduled 24 hours in advance through the Rental Office. Check-out procedures must be followed prior to departure, or there will be an additional cleaning fee assessed, starting at $225.
When is maintenance available?
Maintenance staff is available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After hours, please call 239-472-1138. This phone number is for plumbing, electrical, or air conditioning emergencies only.
What are the parking rules?
Parking for motorhomes, jet skis, boats, boat trailers, camper vans, and RVs is not permitted at any time. However, cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles are welcome. Free parking is available for your first two vehicles only. Fees may apply for additional vehicles.
Is the dock open?
The dock is currently closed. No fishing or boat mooring is allowed, as the structure is not currently safe or secure. However, renovations are underway and reopening is anticipated for 2026.
