Sanibel and Captiva Islands are so fortunate to have many wonderful dining opportunities that are enjoyed year round by locals and visitors alike. CROW or Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife organizes a special benefit every year in the Taste of the Islands. For 35 years attendees have been able to sample signature dishes from many of the island restaurants.
Every year about 4,000 people come out and sample dishes for $5 and under. The entry cost is only $5 for adults and free to children under 12 years of age.
This year, enjoy the event on November 13, 2016 at the Sanibel Community Park located a very short ride from Sanibel Arms West. Between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., you can join in on the culinary fun from a very nice grouping of Sanibel and Captiva eateries. Click here for a complete list of this year’s participants.
As presenting sponsor Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands returns for the 7th year. The proceeds go to CROW supporting it’s many activities in the care of our island’s wildlife.
CROW is a fundamental organization for our island refuge home. With over 3,500 animals treated per year, the vetrinary hospital is one of the nation’s leading clinics for research and education. This is all served up to the public at the Education Center located at 3883 Sanibel Captiva Road, Sanibel, FL 33957.
