One Month Closer to…

The beautiful month of May has descended on Sanibel and Captiva Islands, bringing with it warmer temps, brilliant blue skies, spectacular sunsets and another month closer to that magical “welcome back” day.

In fact, almost everywhere you look on our island paradise you see optimism, commitment, hard work and passionate people united to roll out the welcome mat just as quickly as possible.

Here at Sanibel Arms West, we still have a ways to go — but the pathway is shorter every day as our dedicated contractor and in-house teams check off one box after another. This past month, that includes significant progress on our beachfront units, a fully functional pool filtration system, ready-to-go sundeck and even fenced-in courts for tennis, anyone?

Just up the road at Lighthouse Park, as well as up and down Sanibel and Captiva, the massive beach renourishment effort is completed and a complete success, adding 400,000 tons and literally thousands of yards of protection — and sugar sand beauty — to our barrier islands. And yes, every week brings more and more ribbon cuttings by the busy Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce, commemorating and celebrating the opening and re-opening of your favorite restaurants, boutiques, attractions and more.
