Summer’s Here and the Time is Right!

The calendar may suggest that it’s still spring, but summer has clearly descended on Southwest Florida the way many of you like it — sunny, breezy, hot, beautiful and another month closer to that magical “we’re open” date!

First and foremost, progress continues on all assignments and priorities at Sanibel Arms West! From new beachfront exteriors to the painting and finishing of interiors, our contractors and on-site teams are movin’ and shakin’. Oh, and did we mention a certain Adirondack chair getting ready to welcome you, your friends, your family and your photos?

We’ve been treated to great news also from the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce. At the organization’s annual meeting this past May, we learned that since the hurricane, the Chamber website has exceeded more than 1 million visits; social media has recorded 1.5 million reach; and membership has grown almost 25% to more than 400 active businesses. That’s exciting progress for all us looking forward to welcoming you back! Here’s an updated list of all re-opened and newly opened businesses.

And leadership at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church has announced a terrific “Love Sanibel Businesses Back” campaign that will highlight different businesses throughout the summer, with the goals to provide both financial support as well as positive community shows of encouragement. The first event kicks off this week, and you can read all about it here.
